Defining The Mad Dogs & Englishmen...
Mad Dogs and Englishmen
is an association of individuals dedicated to the use and enjoyment of motorcars.
Here you will find proud owners of Triumphs, MG's,
Minis, Rolls-Royces, Bentleys, Land Rovers, Jaguar,
and the list goes on and on.
During Winter, hobby car people are like insects. We didn't
see them much, but they are busy in hibernation. Some work;
some just dream. There is news among Mad Doggers, of several
restoration projects underway. Some talk of creating new
facilities, so their projects can come forth later. Perhaps
we will get OOH and AAH over some spectacular work to be
revealed soon.
Speaking of Events, we have lined up a lively
variety for much of the season. We already include car shows,
meetings, sightseeing drives, potluck feasts, and bistros.
Much effort went into our annual All British Car Fair in
July. We are always attempting to add one or two
garage hops, a vintage racing event, and more touring. Basically,
our members love to drive, meet and eat. Our aim is to have
at least two events, plus a board meeting every month. With
about 200 current members, we really hope to offer something
for everyone. Ideas are welcome. Hosts for events are loved
and appreciated. You can be one!
We really need an individual who would be willing to grow
our paid sponsors, and gather some door prizes while at it.
This isn't a huge job, but it is important to our club's
health.
That's it for now. Pardon me while I sneak out to the garage
to sit in the XJS for a while.
